What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a therapeutic approach aimed at alleviating muscular pain, addressing strained or torn muscles, regulating the nervous system, and promoting relaxation in overactive muscles. It effectively targets and releases muscular trigger points, which, when active, may lead to local or referred pain, weakness, or restricted range of motion.

The procedure involves the use of fine acupuncture needles inserted into the target muscle. These needles interrupt pain signals, disperse pain-causing chemicals, and stimulate repair within the targeted area. Experience the benefits of dry needling to enhance muscle function and alleviate pain.

Is chiropractic bulk billed, i.e. does medicare cover my appointments with the chiropractor?

No, typically Chiropractic services are not covered by Medicare. However, in specific situations, you may qualify for an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral from your GP, which can subsidize up to 5 sessions per year. Explore the potential for EPC assistance with your healthcare provider for personalised guidance.
